The One I’ll Never Forget: 15 Years of iCandi Magic

Whew—what a night.

It’s taken me a few days to come down from the high of celebrating 15 years of iCandi Productions, but I couldn’t let the week pass without saying thank you. Truth is, I hadn’t blogged all week because I was so focused on living the moment—and now that I’ve had a chance to breathe, I want to share just a piece of it with you.

This was, hands down, the best event I’ve ever hosted. And that’s saying something, because I’ve been doing this—mixers, panels, red carpets, showcases—for 15 years. But this one hit different. The energy, the intention, the people. Everything just felt aligned.

Of course, not every face I hoped to see made it. Life be life-ing, and I get that. But the ones who were supposed to be there—they showed up and showed out. And I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart. Some I hadn’t seen in years. Others have been riding with me since Day One. But every hug, every laugh, every shared memory reminded me why I do what I do.

Let’s talk about how the Candi B.A.P.S. stole the show with their custom fits and signature glow. Let’s talk about the 360 booth that had everybody spinning like they were on BET Awards carpet. The red carpet was lit with elegance—men in dapper suits, women dripping in after-five glam. I mean, y’all understood the assignment!

We raised a toast together to 15 years of grind, growth, glitter, and grace. And while I loved celebrating myself, it was even more meaningful to honor others. The ones behind the scenes, the ones who lit the spark in me, the ones who never let me give up. Some honors made us laugh, others brought us to tears—but every single one was real.

There was one moment that hit especially hard. A photo with Rachel and Brandon where it felt like someone was missing. Because she was. Our sister Deanna. That moment, that space, that ache—it reminded me that the journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been ours. And honoring her legacy, and others who’ve passed, was one of the most emotional and important things I’ve ever done on stage.

Was everything perfect? Nope. The venue threw us a curveball, and it wasn’t at all what we were told to expect. But in true iCandi fashion, we pivoted with professionalism, locked in like pros, and finished strong. No complaints. Just solutions. Because that’s what 15 years in the game teaches you.

This wasn’t about popularity or numbers. It was about purpose. It was about the people. And the people showed up.

I’ll be dropping more photos soon, but for now, here’s a little peek at the magic. Please save, share, tag, and let me know: what was your favorite moment? Use the hashtag #iCandi15 and help me keep the celebration going.

Cheers to the next 15.

With so much love,

Ms. iCandi
